During my lecture at DAV Model School Sector 15 Chandigarh under the aegis of INDIAN COUNCIL OF ASTROLOGICAL SCIENCES Chandigarh chapter some of the aspirants had some doubts regarding placing of ancestors photograph. I am posting my views. First of all I would like to bring to the notice, views of some eminent vaastu experts.
Dr. Bhoj Raj Dwivedi, in his book, Vaastu Inquisitiveness And Solutions, at page 141 has written that photos of dead ancestors should always be hung in the corner of south west or in the western corner. He has also recommended that do not keep a dead ancestors photo or picture in the worship room, as it will be placed along with idol of a deity, hence avoid the said situation. No doubt, our ancestors deserve our respect and faith, but they can neither be equated with nor substituted for our deities.
Ms. Suman Pandit, in her book, Vastu for Homes, at page no. 115, has written, Avoid having pictures of dead departed ancestors in the Pooja room along with pictures of deities.
Shri Promod Kumar Sinha, in his book, Saral Grih Vaastu, at page no. 123, has recommended that south west is the best place for ancestors photograph. He has also suggested that dead ancestors photograph should not be placed in the pooja room. He agrees that our ancestors deserve respect and faith but they cannot take the place of our deity. He is also of a view that after death the man diminishes in five elements but god is ajar amar (everlasting).
Pandit Rajesh Anand, in his book, Bina Tod Fod Vastu Dosh Nivaran, at page no. 44, has suggested that owner of the house should place the photograph of his ancestors in the south west direction.
As explained in my previous posts we get solar energy from the east and magnetic energy from the north and overall energy from the north east which signifies overall prosperity. I will feel pertinent to mention here that the photographs placed in respective zone acquires that type of energy.
The departed ancestors do not require any energy. That is why their photographs should be placed in south or west direction. It is also recommended that photographs of ancestors should not be placed in the pooja room. Even photograph of the living guru should not be placed in the pooja room. Since god is Nirakar and he cannot be equated with destructive world. Kindly give your comments for the progress of the subject.
Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteWhich wall dead photo of dadaji should be hang
ReplyDeleteHello Sir,
ReplyDeleteIt's very useful information you shared. Please kindly guide me according to my home. We've made Puja Sthan in Living Room at the North-east corner. We also want to hang our ancestor's photo in the living room. According to your article we chose the West wall to hang photos but what I'm concerned about is whether it'll harm in any manner as Puja Sthan is also in the same room (living room)?
We want to keep the photos in Living Room as it's my Husband's wish & the photos are of my late Father-in-law. Also I want to know whether ancestor's photos can be kept in front of main door (main door is in northern wall & so the front wall or opposite wall is in southern direction).
Urgently need your guidance
