Bedroom and Vastu Principles

Bedroom is a place in our house where we take rest and if we get a good sleep we are fit for next day’s work.

1^st of all it will be important for us to decide direction of a bedroom for particular person of family. Head of the family should have a bedroom in the South-West direction. Children bedroom should be in the North, East or West, elderly person of the house should take a bedroom in the North-East direction, marriageable daughter’s and Guest bedroom should be in the North-West direction. Young boys should be accommodated in the South-East direction.

Bedroom should be square or rectangular for proper flow of energy. Bed should be placed in such a manner that head should be towards South or East for sound sleep. Double beds are not recommended as per Vastu Principles, however in case of unavoidable situation if used they should not contain sharp things like knife,scissors,forks etc.

TV is not allowed in a bedroom if placed it should not be in front of the beds or it should be covered with cloth at night. Dressing table if in a bedroom should be placed such that while sleeping body should not be seen in the mirror. Clock should be fixed in East or North direction. Photographs of other than husband and wife are not recommended in thier bedroom. Bed should not be in front of the door. L-shape bedroom are not recommended. They may cause problems between husband and wife. Heater and electrical appliances should be in the South-East corner of the bedroom. The wardrobe should be in the North-West. The South-West corner should not be kept vacant. The photographs of deities or any other member of family is not allowed in a bedroom. Water features like fish aquarium is not recommended in a bedroom. Bedroom should not be over a hollow space, porch etc.

Remedies:-

Bagua should be installed outside the bedroom.
